Large buffers for Media Playback

Playing media from CD or hard disk, applications should make sure they have big enough buffers to store the media in memory. Not doing this will result in the USB disks being active as well as hard disk and CD drive spinning up and down very often, resulting in wasted power. Ideally, media playback applications should have large buffer sizes as the default setting, with at least a minute of audio (harddisks and USB) and 20 minutes of video (DVD).
