round_jiffies

round_jiffies() is a kernel infrastructure that helps the kernel group timer events from different sources to the same time frame, possibly delaying the timer for up to one second. This can be used by all kernel level code, where precision is not critical. The following diagrams show how round_jiffies will help group the timer events.
